Dr. Schroder is an environmental scientist/environmental chemist with a strong background in biology, mathematics, ecotoxicology, site remediation, statistics, and data analysis. Dr. Schroder has been involved in many projects focused on soil environmental chemistry and the effect of soil contaminants on human and ecological receptors. These projects included land application of waste materials (biosolids, animal wastes, and petroleum wastes), biogeochemical cycling, and transport of nutrients. He has worked closely with many government agencies during various projects including: the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, United States Golf Association, United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Strategic Environment Research and Development Program, USEPA Six State Consortium on Animal Waste Management, USEPA National Center for Environmental Assessment, USEPA Office of Research and Development, and the United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research. Dr. Schroder has published over 25 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and is well versed in Best Management Practices regarding land application of waste products from confined animal feeding operations. Dr. Schroder has published a book chapter on the sources and contents of heavy metals and other trace elements in animal manures. Dr. Schroder has co-authored a book chapter on the management of nutrients and metals in animal waste and biosolids. Dr. Schroder is a California Registered Environmental Assessor I. In the past two years, Dr. Schroder has worked on approximately 20 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in more than 15 states, as well as two provinces in Canada and one site in Mexico.
