Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and
Post-Occupancy Environmental Condition Survey

ETG was contracted to perform a Phase I ESA and Post-Occupancy Environmental Condition Survey to describe current site conditions, identify RECs that may have been created by the client’s operations, and identify any cleanup activities that may be required.  The overall purpose of the assessment was to qualify the client for the landowner liability protections to the CERCLA.  A records review was performed to review federal and state government agency lists regarding hazardous materials facilities within the prescribed ASTM minimum search distance from the Site.  ETG personnel also reviewed files and pertinent maps regarding Site history, zoning, planning, and development and conducted a reconnaissance of the Site and adjoining properties.  No RECs were identified. However, several business environmental risks were identified at the Site and ETG recommended solutions for these risks.

 

ILLINOIS

ETG was retained by a S&P 500 industrial conglomerate to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and due diligence activities prior to a potential acquisition of the subject company.  A records review was performed to review federal and state government agency lists regarding hazardous materials facilities within the prescribed ASTM minimum search distance from the Site.  ETG personnel also reviewed files and pertinent maps regarding Site history, zoning, planning, and development and conducted a reconnaissance of the Site and adjoining properties. ETG personnel also reviewed and summarized information from a previous Phase I ESA for this Site.  Two RECs were identified at the Site. ETG recommended that a limited subsurface investigation be performed at the Site.
 

 

IOWA

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
Potential Acquisition Candidate
Iowa

ETG was retained by S&P 500 industrial conglomerate to perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments at five different sites as part of environmental due diligence for a large corporate acquisition. The work encompassed three manufacturing facilities, an office building, and a storage facility located in two cities in Iowa.  A records review was performed to review federal and state government agency lists regarding hazardous materials facilities within the prescribed ASTM minimum search distance from the Sites.  ETG personnel also reviewed files and pertinent maps regarding Site history, zoning, planning, and development.  Several recognized environmental conditions were identified at some of the Sites.  ETG recommended that a limited subsurface investigation be performed at two of the five sites which had recognized environmental conditions.

ETG was contracted to perform a Limited Phase I ESA to inquire into the current and past uses of two leased facilities and any practices that may have led to creation of any RECs on the Sites. The overall purpose of the assessment was to qualify the client for the landowner liability protections to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).  A records review was performed to identify hazardous materials facilities within the prescribed ASTM minimum search distance from the Sites.  ETG personnel also reviewed files and pertinent maps regarding the Sites history, zoning, planning, and development.

 

 WISCONSIN

A Phase I ESA and Post-Occupancy Environmental Condition Survey was conducted to describe current site conditions, identify recognized environmental conditions (RECs) that may have been created by the client’s operations, and identify any cleanup activities that may be required. A records review was performed to identify hazardous materials facilities within the prescribed American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) minimum search distance from the Site.  ETG personnel also reviewed files and pertinent maps regarding Site history, zoning, planning, and development and conducted a reconnaissance of the Site and adjoining properties.  ETG personnel also reviewed and summarized information from two previous Phase I ESAs.
